Hockey Opportunity Camp offers a "Best in Class" hockey development program and a great assortment of traditional land and water-based activities, including one of the largest water skiing programs in the country!
Our program is ideal for the player (male or female) who wants to experience an overnight camp that specializes in combining both exceptional hockey training and traditional camp activities. Players can work hard to improve their hockey skill in a fun, encouraging environment at the arena, then come back to camp and spend time enjoying a variety of land and water-based activities.
Evenings are spent playing group wide games, learning new activities or sitting around a campfire underneath the stars. Campers can bunk with any friends attending the same week, providing they are within one grade or birth year of each other (regardless of which HOC program they choose). This program offers the "The Ultimate Hockey and Summer Camp Experience."
The HOC experience provides campers with the opportunity for improved self-confidence, friendship, individual challenge and improved skill development – all in a safe and enjoyable camp environment.
The HOC experience allows campers to enjoy both hockey training and summer camp in the same experience. Our “Best in Class” hockey development program will ensure campers continue with a rigorous and challenging on-ice program, but still have the time to enjoy other summer sports and activities they love, all in a beautiful Canadian lake setting.

Our "Best In Class" hockey development program offers 10 intensive hours of ice time per week, focusing on high tempo, multi skill drills based on today's best practices. An exciting Saturday scrimmage game is played at the end of the week to showcase player development to parents on check out day (note: two oldest sections, Rangers and Senior groups scrimmage is Friday night). It also includes 5 hours (1 hour per day) of off-ice training. In addition to hockey, campers participate daily in two chosen land or water-based camp activities. Campers participate in these two activities either before or after hockey depending on their section's daily schedule. Each activity has a series of skill progressions taught each day and campers work towards levels or awards within the activity.
The majority of our parents drop their children off at camp on the Sunday (check in times are assigned at the time of registration) and pick them up the following Saturday. We do offer a van shuttle service (fess do apply) to and from Toronto Pearson International Airport (approximately a 2.5 hour van ride to camp) for campers that will be arriving to Canada by air. > Click here to find out more about our Transportation option
Of course! We offer a number of great non-hockey programs here at HOC. For the camper who loves to water ski or wake board, we have an Overnight Water Ski Program that will have them on the water everyday! For the more traditional camper, we have an awesome Overnight Ultimate Camp Program where they will get to try a number of our different camp activities.

Camper health is our top priority. We have a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner every week, as well as a Registered Nurse and a Nursing Student who live on site. Their job is to look after the health care needs of our campers and staff. For our out of country campers, it is necessary to have travel health insurance, just in case it is needed.
