What is the minimum number of campers we need to qualify as a group?

  • The minimum number of campers is 4.
  • Campers in a group can attend different weeks.
  • Discounts are only available for our Overnight Hockey + Camp Program, Overnight Ultimate Camp Program, and Overnight Waterski Program.
  • Campers registered in Day Programs do NOT count towards the total minimum number required to secure the group rates.
  • If a camper has registered prior to the group being approved, they are not entitled to the group rate or cannot be counted in as one of the minimum 4 campers. No exceptions.

What is the maximum number of campers we can have in a group?

  • There is no group maximum, although there is no longer additional savings for the Group Coordinator once a group has 12 campers registered.
  • We recommend that groups larger than 12 campers find another Group Coordinator to start an additional group and proceed with the group registration steps.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Groups with 4+ campers may not all be allocated to the same section due to cabin assignment limitations. The Group Cabin Request form states 'Groups larger than 4 campers will be split up into separate cabins for bunking assignments.'

What is a Group Coordinator?

  • A Group Coordinator is an individual who 1) recruits 4 or more campers and 2) sets up the group via the Group Request Form, therefore facilitating the group's registration process. A person can only be the Group Coordinator for one group.

Beyond the discounts on the rates for each camper, are there any additional benefits for the Group Coordinator?

  • The Group Coordinator will receive an additional 'savings discount', which can be applied to one camper's registration fees (after taxes). The more campers in the group, the larger the savings discount.
             4 - 7 campers = $80 (Incl. 13% HST)
             8 - 11 campers = $160 (Incl. 13% HST)
             12+ campers = $240 (Incl. 13% HST)

Can campers in Day Hockey + Camp or Day Hockey qualify as part of a group?

Is there a deadline for parents of campers in the group to complete all the registration details?

  • Campers in the group will be required to register within 20 days of the Group Coordinator receiving the HOC Group Approved/Discount Passcode confirmation in order to be eligible for the Group Discount.

Do the campers in a group have to be the same age?

  • Campers do not all have to be the same age to be registered as a group; however, campers requesting to be bunked together should be of the same gender and ideally the same grade/birth year (we can sometimes accommodate within one grade/birth year apart from one another).

How are groups organized in terms of cabins & sections?

  • Every effort is made to accommodate all bunking requests of similar aged campers. Cabin assignments must be based on gender/age. Campers requesting to be bunked together should be of the same gender and ideally the same grade/birth year (we can sometimes accommodate within one grade/birth year apart from one another).
  • If your group is larger than 12 campers, campers will be placed in different sections while maintaining the cabin groups of 4. A section is a group of campers/cabins who participate in the same daily cohort of hockey, activities, and meals. For example, 7 campers may be placed in the Hawks Section and 7 campers may be placed in the Red Wings Section.
  • Parents of campers in the group must communicate to the Group Coordinator any special cabin requests.
  • The HOC Administrator will only communicate with Group Coordinators to finalize any cabin assignments.
