Every member of the HOC staff team has an integral role in the daily operation of the camp program. Annually the Senior and Directoral staff of HOC interview hundreds of staff candidates in order to find what we feel are the most caring and talented individuals with a passion for working and teaching children in a summer sports camp community.

Staff Development Program

Every great camp staff gets their start somewhere. When campers think of all the fantastic camp staff they have had in the past. Many have had their experience shaped and molded first as a camper and then through the staff development program.  The HOC staff development program has been designed to take our Senior campers from the traditional camp program over two summers through to their preparation and application to their first summer staff positions.  These programs take a limited number of candidates each year to development the highest quality leaders and staff candidates possible.
The Leader in Training program is for candidates finished Grade 9
The Counsellor in Training program is for candidates finished Grade 10
